Take a Seal Observation Cruise
Riverhead Foundation for Marine Research & Preservation

The Riverhead Foundation for Marine Research & Preservation offers seal observation cruises throughout the winter from January through April. Seal cruises will depart from Point Lookout and travel through Hempstead Bay. During the cruises, seal haul-out sites will be observed and a naturalist from the Foundatiom will be on board to discuss the biology and behavior of seals and other marine life encountered.

Reservations are required. Cost to sail is $20.00 for adults and $15.00 for children 12 and under. Proceeds support the New York State Marine Mammal and Sea Turtle Stranding Program.

For more information or to reserve tickets, please call (631) 369-9840 or visit the The Riverhead Foundation for Marine Research & Preservation website.
